I post a lot of philosophy related things into here, hopefully going to have better upkeep as I start everything off again this year. Going to add more theological things to this board soon.

Thoughts Change to Suit Personal Desires?
Loose topic... Why is it that so many people decide to pretend to believe something when they want some form of personal gain. A personal belief is something to be treasured, not flung around like some monkey's crap. A person with pure opinions is someone of pure thoughts. Someone who decides to use thought to try and justify an outer action, is simply giving away any purity of thought that they have. For example, a court sentence rolls in a certain way and the person doesn't like it, so they begin to falsely accuse the jury of being bribed or something of the sort.
This bugs me... A lot, because it happens every day and everybody does it. Why do people insist on believing bull crap about somebody else in order to suit their own desires? Selfishness, I believe that selfishness drives this form of thought in people. People want power, it's a simple fact. Everybody knows it, the thing is people want power and they don't want to do anything, so the way that they seek to gain power is by putting everybody lower. Since trying to make yourself look better would take work, why not run around talking bull about everybody that you need to be knocked down a notch, that would be easy and probably a bit fun when you consider how much creativity you could have with it.
So, when we see that people are changing their thoughts of certain topic's all the time to suit their own greed, I cannot help but see a serious flaw. We all know it happens, we all know how much hurt it does, and yet we still do it. Things like the 9/11 attacks were brought on because certain groups of people decided that they wanted to take some power, how did they go about that? They attacked the most powerful country they knew, America. Now, instead of spending several billion dollars on strengthening of the country, we are spending that money on war, doing exactly to them what they did to us in order to restore the food chain to the way it was without having to do any work on our side.
The evil cycle of all of this is that, we will never, ever gain anything if this continues. Every single person is out to get every single person, and as people get brought down, people begin to be less productive and the world starts to become a big mess.. The only thing that can possibly be left in the end is someone on top, why not fight to get to the top and high a large wonderful world to live in. This simply seems like something almost too obvious, I mean, why build when you can destroy? Does that make sense? Will you gain power by dragging others down, or building yourself up? That part is up to you.

The Effects of Your Emotions On Things Around You
More pondering has led me to certain ideas of emotion. A lot of philosophy has to do with sciences and other physical things. I seem to enjoy abstracts relating to thought and emotion. I have not analyzed the topic that I am about to write about nearly as much as my other topics, but I will give my best shot in explaining what I am thinking about.
Feelings, we all have them, and hopefully most of us know what they are. Sadly, most of the time we can't understand them. Especially taboo ones like love and hate. Why do we love, and why do we hate? Well, I believe that love and hate happen to be factors of others feelings. When you think about it, what is something or who is someone that you hate? What did they do to you for you to hate them? Do they hate you back? Do they deserve this hatred? Well, even if they don't deserve it, something has caused it. Be it something that is around them, or something that they personally did. Often times, not liking how the person acts on an emotional, pessimistic or optimistic basis, is enough to make you not like the person. If you are a very optimistic person and can see great things in everything, a very pessimistic person may be someone that you naturally just stay away from.
Feelings in this scenario seem to act like gravity, or magnets. Though in most scenario's opposites attract, you will probably find yourself around people with the same feelings as you. People with the same feelings as you having stronger gravitational pull on you. My next point is how a person's feelings can actually affect your own, or how your own feelings can affect others. Don't lie, we all have feelings. Everybody knows it, the question isn't why, or how, but what? Every person has different feelings, and that is why we are affected by others feelings. If our positive emotion of love comes in contact of the heartbroken feeling of another, our love could make them feel worse, it could make them see hope, it could make you feel worse about your love, or maybe make it stronger because you can see what you are avoiding by having that feeling. Of course the way that emotion affects others emotions is not random, but how can we tell how we are going to affect others?
We as people would have a very tough time telling exactly how the feelings will affect us, or others. We can tell how we feel, that is quite simple. However we cannot tell how others feel. This leaves us with the dilemma of trying to find out who to talk to, and about what and when, how we will feel around them and how they will feel around us. This is something that psychological science is trying to master, the ability to tell what is affecting our feelings, and what to do to get our feelings to go a certain way. The thing is, is that every person is different, and knowing exactly what each person likes or dislikes can take some time. So in the end, we can't keep everyone happy. Simply, every person must rely on the few that can keep them happy and try to avoid those who don't.
The only thing that seems to help break the barrier of feeling is equivalent thought. I hate to say that thoughts are more powerful than feeling, but sincerely, you may hate a person so much, but if they believe in something unorthodox with you and support you and help you out with it, they may be total emotional opposites from you, but you will get along because of that one thought. So, how does thought affect emotion? Equivalent thought boosts, and in-equivalent thoughts negates. We may like to believe that opposites attract, sadly, having equal thoughts with another person is the only way to interact in a positive way.
Different people see different feelings as good, and different feelings as bad. Simply following what your heart tells you, will lead you to happiness. Your feelings will guide you to those that boost you, it will guide you to the things that boost you, and it will keep you happy.
I like blogging about my philosophical thoughts. Nobody quite understands why I blog it, but it makes me happy. What makes you happy?

If You Give, Do You Receive?
This is my first post based on a variable, rather than a constant. In most of the other posts, I speak of something that I believe just is, like an ethic. However in this case, I am taking it in the sense that it IS, but it IS a variable, it is always changing.
People give every day. Every single person contributes something to another human, or thing in the world. Even if they are the most useless people in the world, something is contributed, positive or negative? Who knows. However, something that is taught to people around the world is that, you should always give and never hope for something in return. My mind stumbling across this idea as I had a conversation with Jonathon about how his lack of action caused a lack in return, and I began to ponder in a half focused sense.
Now, the scenario is, he never read a text clearly enough, and as a result he had to wait to go home. He lack of action in reading the text and remembering it clearly enough caused him to have to wait to go home. Simple cause and effect, but compare it to another scenario and you end up with varying results. I don't mean a different effect, I mean a different level of effect, and that is what I am focusing on.
We all know that everything we do has an effect, and many people believe that there is an equal positive and negative impact, while others believe that what you do causes the equal to occur in turn, that is the first idea that my mind skipped over. However, this seems unrealistic. I believe that in everything we do, there is no response, but something happens later on that we believe to be the cause of it, they have no relation in the sense of how much the returning action affects you in return. Take Spider Man for example. He risks his life over and over to save peoples lives and all they give in return is hatred, except for the few that truly realize what he is trying to do. So we see that even though he gives it all good, he gets back bad, as well as a bit of good, which contradicts the idea that every action has an equal response in either opposite or equal form.
So how is the response decided? I do not believe that the response to an action is decided by anything. It is totally random, depending on who it affects, how it affects them, and how they each individually react to it. This goes for nature and thoughtless things too. A person may try to be as nice as Jesus, but many may reject that person. The sad truth, I believe, is that we cannot control what happens to us without analyzing every single aspect of every single thing we do in relation to every single thought pattern of every single thing affected. The return that you receive is decided by those around you.
Prayer or interactions with a great one / many? Well, my idea of this is extremely biased by my religion, as a Christian would say that God decides it, I would say what I believe. My belief lies in an ultimate power, refer to my "The Creation of the Universe" post to get an idea of how I think this works. There is one great huge massive thought pattern that controls the universe, a concoction of all things that have thought, and that great power decides the universe's reaction, usually it gives you an exact mirror of what you have thought. The idea of that creation process brings us the power to use our thoughts to create things in this world. We think and what we think is here, simply is here, if that is truly how the universe was created.
The effect of what you cause cannot be determined, it is decided by many things that we cannot even control, manipulate, or even measure. People's thoughts, what you are thinking, and what the other people are thinking causes everything in this world to happen, even though we have the power to decide the general things that happen to us in life, many aspects are controlled by those around us.
The Freedom of Philosophy
This is a minor topic that I was advised to bring up in a blog by my friend Jonathon, I figured that is was a fair topic to touch on, just as a reminder that any ideas that come from philosophy can be contested, but no idea may be deemed wrong by any means.
Simply speaking there is no way to say that anything said philosophically is wrong. Simply put, philosophy is a set of ideas abnormal to modern beliefs that contests the current beliefs. The fact that philosophy contests modern beliefs, modern beliefs cannot be used to deem it wrong. I may make a topic that is titled "Gravity?", and questions whether gravity is an actuality. No person can say that gravity is a proven fact by science and in the field and in controlled testing. That is not a legitimate way to contest it. A legitimate way to contest that would be to present another philosophical idea. If you believe that gravity is totally true, then that is fine, you don't need to worry about it, but if you do wish to contest the statement in the post, you must use a fair philosophical statement.
The great thing about philosophy is the unbelievable freedom of thought. It can bring you to try to understand things that science cannot explain yet, or look into the future, or into the past... Philosophy is a totally free way of thinking. Just remember though, it is only good philosophy when it is logical!
The Evils of Materialism
Mercedez Benz, Mansions, A nice computer, A huge garage... All of these things are material, and we all want these things. We all know that we want them, even though we all know that somebody besides ourselves can use the money from these things in a much better way.
We hear every single day of the 3rd world countries, and even the 2nd worlds. We live in a first world country, yes, 1st. This means that we are above everybody else. That is a powerful thing, and in the voice of uncle Ben "With great power, comes great responsibility." The issue is, is that we don't realise that what we have has given us such power. We often take what we have for granted, we aren't happy that our laptop is slow, we aren't happy that we have to drive a run down car, we aren't happy because we don't live in the biggest house or we don't have 50K in the bank. These are the things that we need to change.
I hate to be hammering on the fact of 3rd world countries, but the fact of the matter is that they are the perfect way to compare and contrast to show these things. Ask yourself, what is a hero? Somebody who does something in a good samaritan way and asks nothing in return. From helping an old man up some stairs or saving a person from drowning. These things are not material and are the most renowned in the country. Sadly, everybody is selfish. We have learned from media that things make us happy, and what everybody wants is happiness, so, since all we know through the majority of everything around us is that things are happiness, we don't see into what the culture truly knows is happiness.
The hero that we talked about earlier, he will ALWAYS remember the time(s) he was a hero, and will always be happy and proud of it, knowing that he helped somebody in a significant way. When someone is angry at him or he loses his job, he will know that he has made a positive impact on the world. Materials, do not offer us this happiness. Whenever we get something material, we become happy, that is nature. However, it does not last for ever. That is because it doesn't affect our emotions as strongly as impacting another being. The person that focuses on helping others may lose his job and be happy, but someone who focuses purely on material, who gets fired, has nothing left. Without money you cannot have material, and since old materials cannot make you happy any more, you have nothing you can do.
The sad fact of this is that our culture has begun to teach everybody that the material life is the happy life. Having all the money, they super car, the massive house on the edge of town, while so few people, who have also been affected by the past world, are able to affect the media and the world in a way that they can get the message of loving happiness to everyone. Materialistic lives have led us to teach others in a much more efficient way of the material life, and has caused the world to be purely competing for the best material. If you have the best than you have nothing to complain about, except for the fact that you cannot be happy because you have nothing to compete for, or gain.
The world needs to change into a heroic world, we, as a first world country need to realize that what we have is not happiness, it is all illusion. I mean, I know that even I am materialistic, and even as I say this I doubt myself, however I know that helping a person for nothing in return truly does make me, and hopefully everyone else much more happy then being able to buy the next latest thing.
Justyn
Now for a short theory about The Evil of Materialism from Arthur Hamilton.
--People like getting things, because it makes them happy, the problem is it only makes them happy for a while, before they get bored of it. For example, if you buy a mercedes then you will be happy, for about a month and a half before it wears and you are used to having it, so it isn't as fun any more. So, in order to counter this lack of happiness.... Everybody has to buy 1 mercedes every single month for the rest of their lives. The evil in this is that everybody will go broke and the country will fall into depression and millions will die..

Liar?
If a man says "I always lie", is he telling the truth?
This question having been posed on me countless times in my life, in school as a brainteaser, or from a friend trying to confuse me, I have thought about it countless times. While also countlessly being confused by it. However, by some stroke of luck I have hit the money and came up with the solution.
He is telling a lie.
If he were telling the truth, then he would always lie, and since he just told the truth, he could not always be lying for he just told the truth.. Which puts us into an infinite swirl.
HE CANNOT BE TELLING THE TRUTH
If he were telling a lie, then that would mean that in some other time of his life he has told the truth..... Simple as that, it does not refer directly to the question, it refers to his entire existence.
One dilemma, if he has NEVER told the truth in his entire life, then we come to a crossroads and the statement is insolvable.
The answer truly cannot be defined, but the only way to answer it is that he is lying.
The Existence of The Univerese
What is real, what is not? We will never be able to be totally sure about what is, and what is not totally true, that is, not as long as everything that is not true remains. This dilemma has been brought up in several conversations with me, parents, and friends many times. I have faced the challenge of, what point is there in living if we believe in nothing? What point is there in having this if there is nothing of gain in it? And many other questions. Today, the discussion has come up with a few new ideas as to what could cause the world to be in existence, and what interactions could mean in our world. Now, if we do not believe in anything than we have no purpose in being here, and that is where religion comes from.
So, since religion in our world covers the disbelief of anything existing, I do not need to worry about anybody picking on that... So, the theory that has been produced for how the world has come into existence, is that every single being in the world is manifested by a certain group of thoughts. So, the thoughts all floating around have no form of interaction, because, you cannot add or subtract from something that is set. The thought all had come up with some feeling of need for interaction, the final manifestation of all the thoughts was our world. Giving each set of thought the physical body, and physical possession and something to be proud of and most importantly, a way to add and remove from each-other.
Birth - Birth occurs when a certain thought passes out of the world and wants to come back in, it creates a manifestation of itself and sends itself into the manifested world, were another thought or set of thoughts manifests a child. The child is not theirs to decide, but basically the world decides, as it is already manifested. The manifestation, decided by all thought has produced a simplistic world for all thought to frolic, and enjoy itself instead of simply being suspended as thought.
The model of thought is that a group of thought is grouped together in the form of something like an atom, it is not physical, but it acts as an atom. It cannot change, it cannot multiply, be added to or removed from. However it is still active, it has a function. That function is to change the way that it manifests itself. The thought chose to manifest itself in the form of the world we live in.
Why Blog?
Just a post to quickly explain my mentality behind posting things on a blog..
The blog has many uses, in my case I seek it to have my ideas flow in a way that people can take from them. Though my ideas may be quite useless, it is better to have them flow into something than simply have them sitting in my mind collecting dust. Now of course I have many many ideas, but only some of them stick out enough to be worth sharing. I want to be able to store my ideas here, and be able to go back and recall ideas and build on them, as well as allow others to construct their own ideas with mine as a base.
It is not a popularity contest, simply a vent that people may enjoy, if people enjoy then all the better, if not, oh well.
Birds?
So, I have obviously spent a lot of time on the bus in the past while, as school has just recently started up, and well, busses are a part of the school life. Of course, the bus provides budding children with time to finish their late homework which they spilled coffee on the night prior, it gives them time to catch up with friends and complain about how much they hate this person or the next. Some may even take the time to cuddle up with a significant someone. I feel that all of these particular uses are quite a waste.
I am after all a teenager, so I do spend a good amount of time talking, that is for sure. However, I always take some time to admire the world around. Fall is a beautiful time in our world, even if it is 15 degrees colder than it should be. The sky is grey and it has been raining for a week, but through this beauty still remains.
My eyes have been taking vigorous glances at the nature around me, and while watching these natural things happen, it makes my mind and heart leap for joy. Very first thing in the morning, as I stand there waiting for the bus, things are quiet for a city, with the exception of the occasional car whizzing past and a city bus here and there, things are fairly quiet, and I don't pace, I don't think about Ms. Applebottom's homework assignment, nope. My eyes scour for worms. Yes, worms. The rain has caused many worms to surface and spend time on the sidewalks and in the small pools of water, and I cannot help but feel happy as I watch the little guys move, oh so slowly and nicely, they are careless.
Last week, when the sky became gray for the first time, I was pretty bummed out, but as I stared out the window wishing that instead of rain, it was sun, and instead of grey it was blue. But I looked into the sky and seen one of the most profound things that I can recall seeing. The birds, their pattern of flight was so amazing to me, I cannot truly explain how happy seeing the birds fly made me feel. I wished I could have had it on film or take some pictures with a nice camera, but I did not have either of the things, so as the bus drove underneath the interesting flow of birds I simply watched them move. To try and explain it, it was like the EAC (East Australian Current) from Finding Nemo, they all moved so unbelievably harmoniously and they swerved and curved in an incredible pattern.
Nature has always shown us beautiful things and many articles and stories are written around the feelings that people have felt in and around nature, while observing it or while being it, and in this very gray and gloomy time when everybody feels tired and gross, I believe that there is beauty in it. So what is the beauty in the gray rainy grossness? This is what I hope to find and capture.
I plan to buy a nice little quick-shot camera and take some time from every day that I can to take a picture of something that I find profoundly beautiful from something that people may only see in a negative way. I have found the sidewalk worms beautiful, so I can imagine that I may take a picture of that os something of the sort. Hopefully I get paid enough to buy it now...
So what is something you know people find negative, and what is something beautiful you can pull from that. I don't mean like parents yelling at their kid and you see that they are teaching a lesson, no, that is silver lining.. I mean truly beautiful, something that on sight makes you feel unconditionally happy. What can you find?

The Philosophy of Today
The Philosophy of today? What is the philosophy of today in my world, philosophy in my world is the mere thoughts and ideas of what is occurring in our world to make it work. Nothing professional, and nothing really profound. I am after all only 15. This is simply a place to keep all my ideas tucked away nicely, and for people to put in their own ideas on the topic at hand.
Criticism is welcome, however it is not welcome when you include "Scientific" proofs against whatever the statement is, because science has a well built history of being faulty, and I am pretty sure that a good chunk of what we believe today is not true. Without further ado, the first topic.
You Must Not Seek It, Because You Already Have It, If You Know You Already Have It.
There are good feelings, and bad feelings. We need them both, for with one we cannot have the other, and with neither, humans have no purpose. People all want to feel good, whether that is given to them or not, all people want it. The question now is, how can people be sure that they will get goodness?
People throughout the ages have found ways of being happy, whatever they do they try and find a way to be happy. But I believe that happiness is truly only an element of the mind.
If people can control their mind into always believing only true goodness, we would only be able to feel good. This sounds a bit flawed though, because if we feel only good then that locks out bad again. So what is the method to true happiness?
I have come to the conclusion that if you reach for true happiness, you will not get it. If being truly happy is your life goal and will always be, then that is exactly why you cannot reach it. Since we set it as a goal of life, it will always be a goal IN LIFE. So what can we do about that? We have 2 choices, believe in afterlife and salvation in the world after life, and that being only true happiness, or we can believe that what we have is true happiness. Believing that you have true happiness on earth can only mean that you feel nothing but happiness, the bad still exists but it is tuned out and is in another world, away from your own where nothing but good resides.
If people believed that all they had true happiness, they would have it. We need to stop thinking of happiness as what we want but what we have. Everyone in the world has things to be happy for, and can try their best to make these things even better than they are, simply by believing that they are truly happy.
Hopefully that didn't make the heads of others spin more than mine because I am spinning for sure... Will revise the idea later when I am not so darn tired.
